Description
Old Drift Lodge Overview
Old Drift was the first settlement of white pioneers close to one of the world’s natural wonders, the Victoria Falls. Today, the location of the former outpost is home to a beautiful lodge by the same name. Walk into the main area of Old Drift Lodge and you will find open spaces, modern décor and most importantly beautiful views over the tremendous Zambezi River. The property lies on the banks of one of Africa’s most important lifelines and is hugely popular with hippos, elephants and crocs. Expect to see these wild visitors only metres away, especially elephants love to come roam between the suites and the main lodge in search of fresh vegetation – or the water in your private plunge pool.
Old Drift Lodge is one of the very few properties that are located directly on the Zambezi, offer game activities in the Zambezi National Park and are still close to the Victoria Falls. You can therefore look forward to sunset cruises on the river, game drives in the park or a tour of the waterfalls. If you just want to relax, the suites at Old Drift Lodge offer privacy, a lounge area and a large viewing deck.
