Lion Research Safari Overview
Wildlife Encounter is an active conservation program that is dedicated to ensuring a secure future for the magnificent African Lion species. By joining the Lion Research and Rhino Safari, guests will gain in-depth knowledge of the lion rehabilitation and release into the wild program, as well as providing essential funding for the program’s continued progress to help save Africa’s most iconic species.
During your visit, the experienced guides will introduce you to the pride’s members; give you information about the Release Program and the broader efforts in lion conservation, as well as the work being undertaken with the communities. You will also join the research team from ALERT who are studying the behavior of these lions in great detail. From this you will gain a fascinating understanding of the inner workings of a lion pride.
An exciting stop during this Safari is a chance to walk in the Zambezi National Park, accompanied by an experienced Ranger, with the chance of seeing another one of Africa’s Iconic animals, the white rhino.
