Catsonova Cruises Overview
Catsonova is a classic 44ft catamaran yacht with a long history in Vilankulo. A few local friends with some knowhow and a vision to create the best day and night on the water, recently dedicated themselves to a loving upgrade of Catsonova, adding details such as wood trim interiors and installing top of the line equipment. This 44ft motorised catamaran yacht is perfect for a day trip of up to 19 pax or overnights with up to 5 couples.
• Lounging:
Solar powered electric amenities such as surround sound music (bluetooth capable). Plentiful cushioned, shaded seating areas and sun-bathing spaces.
• Catering:
Equipped with indoor hob, outdoor braai/grill, sinks, ample preparation areas, refrigerator, freezer, cool boxes, cutlery, crockery and sturdy stemware.
• Exploring:
One can picnic on secluded beaches, swim, snorkel, kayak, fish or take the tender boat (rubber duck) to points of interest. All equipment included.
• Overnight:
Sleeps up to ten comfortably with two double bed cabins and convertible areas for an additional three double beds, 1 bathroom, towels and linen provided.
• Other amenities:
Cold water showers to the interior and flushing toilet. 12 and 240 V charging. WIFI available within the bay upon request.
• Safety:
Catsonova provides safety gear including life jackets, buoys, fire extinguishers, radians and navigation systems.
• Fishing:
Catsonova is lucky to have Dean Taylor, a well-know fishing guide in and around the archipelago as our host and manager. He specialises in light tackle spinning and Giant Travally fishing, however we also cater for those interested in trawling for game fish such as Marlin, Sailfish and King Mackerel.

She is also the perfect boat for activities such as day time cruises, sundowners and parties. There is a toilet and a shower available for guest’s refreshment, a Dhingy for island transfers, snorkel equipment and a kayaks for further exploring.

• Catsonova Cruises offer day trips as well as overnight expeditions. Find the option that best suits you. Day trip destination packages include Margaruque Island, north or south-point Benguerra Island and south-point Bazaruto Island. Custom day trips can be tailored upon request, including excursions to the furthest side of the Archipelago, such as Paradise Island or visiting multiple islands, all of which have their own unique sights, character and points of interest.

he greater Bazaruto Archipelago is a world renowned paradise, both below and above water. Catsonova is the perfect base boat to enjoy it. We offer a wide range of land and water based activities for young and old.
FISHING
The islands amongst Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago are surrounded by well kept natural reefs, holding an abundance of different species of fish to be targeted by anglers.
The boat comes equipped with a significant range of tackle allowing us to cover most styles of fishing. We always have a spread of lures out the back whilst on the move.
Catsonova’s main advantage is that she can be used as an overnight base boat, allowing anglers to wake up much closer to fishing grounds, eliminating trips from the mainland and allowing us to fish the prime times of the day such as sunrise, and overall, more hours in your day to land that catch of a lifetime.
We offer trawling, light tackle spinning, heavy spinning and live bait fishing.
Ski boats to access further reefs through larger seas may be hired at an additional cost upon request. Please liase with Dean directly.
ISLAND HOPPING AND CASTAWAY PICNICS
The Archipelago’s islands and sandbanks are idillic, waiting to be explored on foot, snorkel or simply enjoy a private castaway picnic. Our tender boat can transfer guests to and from Catsonova to a destination that best suits your interest or occasion.
SNORKELLING AND DIVING
Catsonova has on board snorkelling equipment for 8 people and for the underwater enthusiasts seeking deeper waters, certified dive operator pic-ups from the yacht can also be arranged.
