3 Nights in Livingstone, Zambia
Long before the Victoria Falls were discovered and named by the missionary David Livingstone in 1855, the local inhabitants knew it as “Mosi oa-Tunya” (“the smoke that thunders”). Livingstone was so amazed with the sighting that he recorded in his journal “It has never been seen before by European eyes, but scenes so wonderful must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight”. The Victoria Falls are one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Join safari-lovers from around the globe who flock to Zambia and Zimbabwe every year to awaken their sense of adventure and marvel at the 354ft sheet of flowing water.
Highlights:
- A guided tour of the Victoria Falls (This can be done from Zimbabwe or Zambia, or preferably both.)
- A leisurely sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River above the falls.
- A Game drive or walk in the Mosi oa-Tunya National Park, along the Zambezi River.
- A scenic helicopter flight above the Falls, very aptly named “the flight of the angels”.
- For the more adventurous a Microlight Flight over Victoria Falls.
- A variety of adrenalin experiences including a 111 meter bungee jump off the famous Victoria Falls Bridge, or rafting below the Victoria Falls, which is commonly recognized as the best Grade 5 white water rafting in the World.
- The wonderful hospitality of the people of Zambia.
We recommend you stay at David Livingstone Safari Lodge
David Livingstone Safari Lodge is a five star Safari Lodge in Livingstone Zambia. The Lodge has been built right on the banks of the Zambezi River. Positioned perfectly just a few kilometers upstream from the Victoria Falls. So close in fact that the spray from the falls can be seen from the lodge. A beautiful infinity swimming pool seemingly flows into the Zambezi River from the David Livingstone Safari Lodge gardens. Adjacent to the swimming is a massive wooden deck. The deck has been built so that the Zambezi River flows beneath it. This is a beautiful place to each lunch or dinner as you watch the Zambezi River flow by. It is from this deck that you can see the spray of the Victoria Falls when it is in full flood.
David Livingstone Safari Lodge also boasts an award winning spa. This is the perfect combination of luxury and comfort on the banks of the Zambezi River.
