The Hide main lodge in Hwange National Park has been designed to accommodate up to twenty guests. Eight standard tents and two luxury or honeymoon tents make up The Hide. Each tent is mosquito-proofed and has an en suite bathroom. A fan for your comfort in summer. For the cool winter months extra warm blankets and hot water bottles are provided . There is one wheelchair friendly tent.

The hub of The Hide main camp is the signature “A” frame which houses the dining room, a downstairs sun lounge and a large comfortable viewing area upstairs. There is also a plunge pool near the main lounge and dining room. The spacious lodge areas are very tastefully furnished with solid Zimbabwe Teak furniture each with individual decor.

Tom’s Little Hide

Situated on the eastern boundary of the famous Hwange National Park, in a five square kilometer area sits Tom’s Little Hide. This is a secluded, beautifully authentic three bedroom safari cottage with awesome views of the waterhole. The luxury cottage overlooks a popular waterhole frequented by Elephants. Tom’s Little Hide offers a great retreat for the family or a group wanting a little more luxury and privacy. Booked out exclusively Tom’s Little Hide comes with its own private guide and vehicle.

Tom’s Little Hide is made up of three large adjacent rooms, all with en suite bathrooms. Each room looks out over the waterhole, which is a constant scene of activity. Your veranda is as good as any safari vehicle. The bedrooms are each individually decorated and furnished with solid Zimbabwean teak furniture. All the rooms are mosquito-proofed and have fans for warmer days. Rooms 1 and 2, both double en suite bedrooms, form the main part of Tom’s Little Hide and can also accommodate one child in each on a roomy day bed. The bedrooms are linked by a dining room and outside veranda, complete with a splash pool. Room 3 is more of a family tent with an outside bathroom and inter-leading children’s room. Altogether, up to 10 guests, 6 adults and 4 children can stay at Tom’s Little Hide.

Meals and activities are enjoyed privately and in your own time. Children of all ages are welcome here and you can relax and enjoy a special, spacious, group safari experience with family and friends at Tom’s Little Hide.

The Private Hide

The Private Hide is perfect for an exclusive getaway. It is a spectacular outdoor “living room” from which to experience the animals and birdlife of the Hwange National Park. The Private Hide is situated at the edge of The Hide main camp. When using The Private Hide, guests stay in The Hide main camp tents. Tents 7 and 6 are large deluxe or family tents, which can accommodate two adults and two children in full-size beds. Each room has its own en suite bathroom – indoor bath, inside and outdoor shower and hot water all day. All rooms are mosquito-proofed and have fans for your comfort during the warmer months.

The Dove’s Nest

The Dove’s Nest is the best way to get away from it all. There are few things more exciting than spending a night out in a tree-house. Overlooking the open tree-lined vlei and pan where giraffe and elephants commonly come to drink, this rustic gem is a perfect vantage point from which to view wildlife safely, quietly. Just the two of you.

Kept simple, as a tree house should be, the bedroom of the Dove’s Nest is reached by a wooden stairway with a closeable door. Lying on the bed, you can watch the birds hopping about in the canopy of your tree through the wood-slatted windows. Lunch and afternoon siestas are enjoyed on the open deck just below. Sundowners on the deck followed by a private bush dinner and a night spent out in the Dove’s Nest will be a memorable night out.
